Episode One: It Matters How We Constitute

Many churches have forgotten our confessional heritage. Such is the story of Crossroads Fellowship. This podcast exists to remind our members of the importance of our constitution, bylaws, and confession in the life our Church. Today’s episode looks at Benjamin Keach’s definition of a Church from his work, “The Glory of a True Church.”

“A church of Christ according to gospel institution is a congregation of godly Christians who, being first baptized upon the profession of faith, as a stated assembly, do by mutual agreement and consent give themselves up to the Lord and to one another according to the will of God, and do ordinarily meet together in one place for the public service and worship of God—among whom the Word of God and sacraments are duly administered according to Christ’s institution (Act 2:41-44; 8:14; 19:4-6; Eph 1:1-2; 2:12-13, 19; Col 1:2-4, 12; 1Pe 2:5; Act 5:13-14; Rom 6:17; Heb 6:1-2).”
